BURGLARY PREVENTION ADVICE
Many burglaries are committed by opportunist thieves. While you may think your home, vehicle and property are secure, it is good to get into a routine. The below advice should help you to protect your property:
- Fit good quality house alarms and remote access CCTV - Fit good quality locks to doors and windows and secure them when you are elsewhere in the house - Fit suitable security lighting and leave a light on a timer at home - Property mark your valuables, keep a record and photos - Protect access to the back of your property
If your ever going away: - Get a friend, relative or neighbour to look after your home - Ensure they have a key if you require them to enter your property - Always remember, if you are going away, try not to make it obvious that you are not in
There are many security devices that you can add to your home to make it safer, including: - Burglar alarms - CCTV - Pets - Motion sensor lights
